Tyres Treatment Plants
In the tyre treatment plants, used or damaged tyres are reduced and shredded into rubber granules.
Recycling systems mainly start from bead breaking machines, a process through which the ring of steel wire inside the tyre (bead) is removed, and then move on to shears which cut the tyre into pieces, which are then shredded.
The pieces of rubber produced by the shredder are sent along a conveyor belt to the next process: granulation. In the granulator the product is reduced to extremely fine granules.
After the tyre recycling process, the output materials are: Rubber Granules, Steel Wire, Fabrics.
The main applications of the rubber granules produced are: solid recovered fuel, sound barriers, road/rail embankments. drainage base layer in new landfills, rainwater retaining systems, rubber granulates and rubber powder production.
